In honour of the brave men and women who served and continue to serve our great country in the Canadian Armed Forces, Kenneth Andres, Lead Electrical Hand, (second from the left) organized a food drive benefiting the Veteran’s Food Bank in Calgary. Most recently, Kenneth learned that the food bank was asking for non-perishable goods and money donations as stock was very low and shelves were almost bare. He felt the need to act and as a tribute to both his grand-father and father who served in the Army and the Navy, respectively, Kenneth called upon his colleagues to donate items. Kenneth strongly believes that he owes his rights and freedoms to all the men and women who fought and are still fighting to protect our country.
Kenneth’s involvement in the community extends beyond this food drive; he actively participates in community and highway clean-ups and is a volunteer soccer coach.
We salute Kenneth for his efforts and his commitment to the community.
On Remembrance Day, Lest We Forget. Thank you!
