2017 marks the 20th anniversary of NAOSH, whose mission is to raise awareness on the importance of preventing injury and illness in the workplace, the community, and at home. In 1997, Canada, the United States and Mexico agreed to dedicate one week in May to this continent-wide event where employers, employees and stakeholders in occupational health and safety (OHS) can focus on and reinforce the importance of OHS.
